Synopsis: Island Press is a nonprofit publishing company that publishes 40 books a year on climate change, water and marine issues, environmental health, conservation, population, and land use planning. Book Slam! will give participants a chance to read their brief book idea aloud to a panel of editors for feedback. Each proposal should only last 5 minutes. There will be time for Q&A at the end of the workshop.
